April 2026 Quarterly Leadership Newsletter

A Different Standard of Support

Workplace stress is elevated across industries, and many employees may be feeling the effects. Current data indicates that over 80 percent of U.S. workers report experiencing work related stress, and approximately 83 percent report ongoing work-related stress overall. Burnout and strain are often present without people knowing where to reach out for support. (Learn more)

EAP and MAP are designed to support employees when they are stressed. Short term, solution focused support can help employees address concerns early, before they become more complex or begin to impact work, health, or relationships. The challenge is not just access; it is also awareness.

This is where organizational leadership plays a critical role. Consistent visibility and reinforcement of support, helps to normalize use and makes it more likely that employees will reach out when it matters. We encourage you to continue sharing information throughout the year.

To support this, we have developed a short “Quick Start” video that clearly walk through how to access services, what to expect, and how EAP and MAP can be used in real situations. These are designed to make the process feel more approachable and to reduce hesitation for those considering reaching out. We encourage you to share the video with participants as part of your ongoing communication efforts.

If you would like support in aligning your internal messaging with your wellness strategy, please visit our Promotional Toolkit website below or reach out to Megan Andrews, email at mandrews@cfsbny.org or call 716-681-4300.

Buffalo Business First Best Places to Work Event

C+FS EAP recently had the opportunity to participate in the Best Places to Work in Western New York celebration hosted by Buffalo Business First, joining organizations across the region recognized for strong workplace culture and employee engagement. The event brings together a wide range of employers and community businesses. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with peers who are committed to creating supportive and effective workplaces across Western New York. During the event, we were especially proud to celebrate our own Chief of Human Resources, Erica Reger, recognizing her leadership and ongoing contributions to our organization.
