C+FS EAP Event Participation Guidelines
The Child and Family Services Employee Assistance Program (C+FS EAP) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and expect all participants to engage with professionalism and respect. Participation in a C+FS EAP event reflects agreement with these guidelines.
Expectations for Participation
Participants attending in person or virtual presentations are expected to contribute to a respectful and professional environment. Attendees are expected to engage thoughtfully, honor personal boundaries, and allow space for uninterrupted learning. This includes participation in chat, Q and A, and any interactive features. Interactions should reflect respect for all individuals and support an environment free from harassment or discrimination of any kind, including conduct related to race, ethnicity, religion, color, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or any other personal characteristic. Participants are expected to maintain appropriate boundaries when sharing and to respect the privacy of others. Information shared during events should not be disclosed outside the session. Any use of photography, audio, or video must be appropriate and authorized. Screenshots, recordings, or redistribution of materials are not permitted without prior approval.
When guidance is provided by C+FS EAP staff, participants are expected to respond promptly. Staff may also manage participation as needed to maintain a positive and safe experience, including muting, disabling chat, or removing participants.
Use of Recording and Note Taking Programs (Bots)
C+FS EAP does not permit outside recording of events due to the proprietary nature of the material and the potential for personal information to be shared. Note taking bots are not permitted and will be removed from any virtual event.
Addressing Concerns
If you experience or witness concerning behavior during a C+FS EAP event, notify a C+FS EAP staff member as soon as possible at eap@cfsbny.org or 716 681 4300. Staff will take appropriate steps to address the situation and support those affected.
To protect the experience of all participants, individuals who do not adhere to these guidelines may be removed from the event. Ongoing concerns may result in limitations on participation in future C+FS EAP programs.
Finally
C+FS EAP events are educational in nature and are not intended for urgent or emergency situations. If immediate support is needed, contact our office at 716-681-4300 or call 988 for assistance. In case of an emergency, call 911.
