Child and Family Services of Erie County Celebrates 150 years of Serving our Community
Since 1873, Child and Family Services (C+FS) has dedicated its resources to meet the needs of children, adults and families. One of Western New York’s most experienced human service agencies, C+FS relies on generations of expertise to nurture a thriving community. C+FS is a recognized leader in innovative programming that foster healthy environments in local homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. Other programs offered by C+FS include conflict resolution, counseling, domestic violence help, family support services, foster care and adoption, residential treatment and special education.

Consider Providing More Support with More EAP Sessions
C+FS EAP is excited to offer a new Expanded EAP option. This new option is in response to requests by employers to provide additional benefits for employees and their family members! This new option will provide up to eight (8) sessions of counseling or coaching to employees and anyone living in their household.

In the Community: C+FS EAP Presented at the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA) International Conference
Jennifer Schultz, LCSW and Megan Andrews, LCSWR presented at the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) conference on the topic of “Trauma Informed Critical Incident Response” in October 2023 in Portland, Oregon. The presentation focused on how C+FS Employee Assistance Program responded after the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo NY on May 14th 2022. We must always remember and honor the lives lost, provide support to those affected and bringing voice to all efforts that increase equity in our communities. Learn more:

Meet the Newest Member of the C+FS EAP Team
C+FS EAP is excited to announce that Angela Schettine, JD LMSW has joined our team. Angela brings a broad range of experience as an attorney and mediator to her counseling practice. Angela was previously a student with us and was eager to join the team as a full member. Angela is interested in solution focused counseling, focused on grief, loss and other family concerns. Her compassion and commitment to quality are apparent the first time you meet her. Keep a look out this year as Angela will be bringing her expertise to or webinars and educational programs, to better serve our membership.
