Quarterly Leadership Newsletter – October 2024

April 2024

Last week in Western New York, we witnessed a total solar eclipse, which served as a humbling reminder of our place in the universe and our connection to the solar system. It was amazing to observe how so many workplaces provided flexibility for staff, with many pausing activities at 3:18pm on Monday April 8th, allowing everyone the opportunity to experience this once in a lifetime event together. It was a moment that emphasized our unity and reminded us that we are not alone.

Message from the Director:

You are not alone in promoting EAP services to your employees either.  If you are interested in scheduling a 1:1 meeting to discuss EAP promotional strategies, please click below to schedule.

Schedule 1:1 discussion with the Director

If these times are not convenient, please call 716-681-4300 to schedule. We will also be hosting a group EAP Liaison meeting on June 13, 2024, at noon, please register through the button below. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to meet leaders from other EAP member organizations and learn more about how to increase staff’s familiarity with EAP services.

Save the date! Child and Family Services will host its annual Heartlight at the Harbor fundraiser on Wednesday, July 31!

Come rock out for a good cause at this concert featuring Strictly Hip at the Buffalo Outer Harbor! There will be fun activities for attendees of all ages, including games, food trucks, and the return of last year’s popular human-powered snow cone machine (think of a hamster wheel, but with a person running inside)!

Mark it in your calendars now so you have the evening saved! The gate opens at 5:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be available on cfsbny.org/heartlight soon – we can’t wait to see you there!

Heartlight at the Harbor is presented by Kaleida Health. If you are interested in sponsorship information, email Mary Czopp at mczopp@cfsbny.org or call (716) 335-7050.
